Challenges Faced:

Before automation, trades were consolidated in an Excel sheet and entered manually into the system, which was a time-consuming process and resulted in delays updating available commodities and prices.

Solution Proposed:

Built a brand-new application using the latest technologies and a multi-threaded system to directly communicate with ICE using FIX protocol and retrieve trades/deals in real-time, integrating the commodity and price into Kinder Morgan like nominations, contracts, etc. and built a reporting system to notify corresponding stakeholders.

Results Achieved:

A fully automated Fix complaint application was is built to pull the trades and their details and make them available for business needs in real time. This increased the efficiency of the business and the resulted excellent in excellent use of known commodities.
